Colesevelam Hydrochloride is a bile acid sequestrant with a higher affinity for glycocholic acid in vitro. Colesevelam Hydrochloride inhibits bile acid reabsorption, leading to increased bile acid synthesis and reduces cholesterol levels in patients with cholestatic pruritus and Crohn’s disease. |
