產(chǎn)品介紹 KGF is a member of the fibroblast growth factor (FGF) family. FGF family members possess broad mitogenic and cell survival activities, and are involved in a variety of biological processes, including embryonic development, cell growth, morphogenesis, tissue repair, tumor growth and invasion. This protein is a potent epithelial cell specific growth factor, whose mitogenic activity is predominantly exhibited in keratinocytes but not in fibroblasts and endothelial cells. Studies of mouse and rat homologs of this gene implicated roles in morphogenesis of epithelium, reepithelialization of wounds, hair development and early lung organogenesis.

Function:
Plays an important role in the regulation of embryonic development, cell proliferation and cell differentiation. Required for normal branching morphogenesis. Growth factor active on keratinocytes. Possible major paracrine effector of normal epithelial cell proliferation.

Subunit:
Interacts with FGFBP1. Interacts with FGFR2. Affinity between fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) and their receptors is increased by heparan sulfate glycosaminoglycans that function as coreceptors.

Subcellular Location:
Secreted.

Tissue Specificity:
Epithelial cell.

KGF/FGF7 (Fibroblast growth factor 7) 又稱(chēng):HBGF-7 纖維母細(xì)胞生長(zhǎng)因子7,是FGF家族的主要成員之一。 FGF家族參與細(xì)胞生長(zhǎng)、組織修復(fù)、胚胎生長(zhǎng)發(fā)育、組織器官的形成、腫瘤的生長(zhǎng)和侵潤(rùn)等諸多生理病理功能。 成纖維細(xì)胞生長(zhǎng)因子7的促增生作用主要來(lái)源于角化上皮細(xì)胞而不是間質(zhì)細(xì)胞和內(nèi)皮細(xì)胞,因此人們又稱(chēng)之為:角化上皮細(xì)胞生長(zhǎng)因子(KGF)。
