This gene encodes a lipase that hydrolyzes galactolipids, the main components of plant membrane lipids. An allelic polymorphism in this gene results in both coding and non-coding variants; the reference genome represents the non-coding allele. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2015] Function: Lipase with broad substrate specificity. Can hydrolyze both phospholipids and galactolipids. Acts preferentially on monoglycerides, phospholipids and galactolipids. Contributes to milk fat hydrolysis. Subcellular Location: Secreted. Tissue Specificity: Pancreas. Similarity: Belongs to the AB hydrolase superfamily. Lipase family. Contains 1 PLAT domain. Paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin embedded (mouse pancreas); Antigen retrieval by boiling in sodium citrate buffer (pH6.0) for 15min; Block endogenous peroxidase by 3% hydrogen peroxide for 20 minutes; Blocking buffer (normal goat serum) at 37°C for 30min; Antibody incubation with (PLRP2) Polyclonal Antibody, Unconjugated (bs-21014R) at 1:200 overnight at 4°C, followed by operating according to SP Kit(Rabbit) (sp-0023) instructionsand DAB staining.
