Transcription of this antisense gene may influence the progression of neuroblastoma by inhibiting transcription of v-myc avian myelocytomatosis viral oncogene neuroblastoma derived homolog. This gene is represented as non-coding pending further experimental evidence of a protein product. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
