PCDHGC5 (protocadherin gamma-C5) is a 944 amino acid single-pass type I membrane protein that contains six cadherin domains and exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms. As a potential calcium-dependent cell-adhesion protein, PCDHGC5 may be involved in the establishment and maintenance of specific neuronal connections in the brain.
