Function: May play a role in transcriptional regulation. Tissue Specificity: Ubiquitously expressed. Strongly expressed inheart, placenta, skeletal muscle, pancreas and to a lower extent inbrain. Post-translational modifications: Phosphorylated upon DNA damage, probably by ATM or ATR. [DISEASE] Note=A chromosomal aberration involving AFF4 is found inacute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).
